This is my favorite out of all the shots. It's so hard to believe Rhianna is only 9 months old!She had the greatest expressions all day. Some serious, some quizical and a lot of funny ones. She was a blast to work with.
I photographed Rhianna as a newborn and before she was born. It's SO COOL to see the babies as they grow. She's the first child for Mom & Dad- so naturally she's always dressed to the 9's.

I couldn't get over how active she was. I think she's going to walk early. Maybe she'll be an olympian?

Gina- thanks SO much for bringing Rhianna back to see me. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her. She has a beautiful personality and is so smart. I have no doubts whatsoever that she's going to be a "mover & shaker" in life.

Celesia

I photographed my daughter's band Celesia. I love how fun teenagers can be. They aren't afraid to do wacky things. This is my favorite shot. They look like they could be in a magazine.
Celesia was totally rockin' the vintage look. Love it!

This was a hard shot to get, believe it or not. Carl is so much taller than the other three. It was a challenge to fit everyone in and have it look in proportion.

This is when I started to get nervous. You know how I said earlier that I love how teenagers aren't afraid to do wacky things? Well, I lied. I was VERY nervous with the boys up on that "former" ledge. I could think of 100 things that could happen to them. They didn't blink an eye. Crazy kids!

This was another hard to pose shot. I finally had to have Carl sit at the bottom because I couldn't fit all four of them in. Love the fire escape.

I love what this shot says. They've got a long road(or tracks) ahead of them. They are starting out their journey into adulthood and may end up taking separate paths.Hopefully they will stay friends and look back on these days fondly. Good Luck guys!!

When You're Fifteen

Michelle came to see me at the studio for head shots. The camera loves her! It was refreshing to see a teenager who was naturally pretty- not all made up. She has a glow about her that you can't get from make-up.
This was one of my favorites. I think she felt corney putting her hand up but it really works in this shot.

I like she's not really smiling in this one. It's good to see different expressions. We see more of her bone structure. Good luck, Michelle. You've definitely got the look!

Melts Like Butter

I took pictures of my nephew Nathan for his 5th birthday. It falls near Valentine's Day - so we threw this one in. He was totally into it - for about 15 minutes. I had to shoot fast.
Nathan loves trains - so I thought we'd do a few shots on the tracks. He was so excited-I couldn't get him to stand still. He loved running up and down and investigating how the tracks are put together.

This is a famous "thing" in our family. When Nathan was 3 or 4 he told his Grandpa that his Grandma melts like butter when he winks like this. He's learned how to charm the ladies.

Nathan loves dogs. Tom(who I rent studio space from and is a good friend) has three dogs that all look alike. I had to bribe Nathan with a picture with the dog if he did all the other pictures first.

I know we've all heard this before, but what a waste to have these eyelashes on a boy!! It's so unfair.

I think having a close relationship with a grandparent is a priceless gift. Nathan gets to go to Grandma's two days a week. I don't know who looks forward to it more-Nathan or Grandma!
