Fabulous at 40

Once in a while you have a session that goes so well and you know it at the time. This was one of those. I already posted some from this session but had to share a few more.

Hot Mama!

This is probably my favorite so far. Love the texture! This just goes to show you - there's nothing scarey about turning 40! Embrace it!

Kelly turned 40 a few months ago and we decided to do some portraits of her at this age. Can't you feel the attitude in this one? 40's not going to get her down!

New Beginnings

I totally love first-time parents-to-be. They are so full of life and excited about life. Gina & Ron were such a pleasure to work with.They were pretty laid-back-especially after moving 3 days ago,working full-time and having a baby due in 2 weeks!

Love Is In The Air

An official family portrait for the soon to be Espinoza family.Christina & Juan & Angela are getting married in September.We did their engagement pictures over the weekend.They were so easy to photograph and up for anything.I can't wait until September!!

Look at those amazing blue eyes! Angela is looking forward to the wedding because she gets to wear a fancy dress.

There is a really sweet bond between these two. Juan was not looking forward to having pictures taken but did it anyway for Christina.

Looks like spring is in the air...wrong! I did Christina & Juan's engagement pictures Saturday morning and it was COLD! We really wanted some outdoor shots - so they wore their coats and would take them off right before I would take the shot.

Minnesota

This view is worth the wipeouts.This is what we look at from our cabin.Almost every night we watch the sun set.There are no t.v.'s or phones in the cabin and I think that's one of the best things about our trips up north. I could post another 100 pictures showing you all of the things we love about Minnesota.We are able to re-connect as a family and get back to being who we really are.

Good thing Chelsea knows how to swim. The kids love to tube and water ski up there.Occasionaly there are a few wipeouts.

Dave is in his element up there. He is able to do all his manly things-fishing,hiking,canoeing,etc.This is the one place he can totally relax.

This is one of my favorite pictures of David. It was taken at Pelican Lake in Minnesota. We go there every August and stay in a cabin on a lake.

I really love doing highschool seniors/teenager pictures. I love their style and their emotions. They feel so intensely. I remember that. Emily & I spent a couple of hours together and got some great shots.These are a few of my favorites. Thanks, Em!

Communion Cutie

Isn't it amazing that "P" is just a regular kid-not a model? She knew exactly what to do & when to do it. This shoot was so easy. I love when that happens.
